From understanding the various factors that make up environmental sustainability to basic questions to ask yourself to make sure priorities are in order, about 40 Virgin Islands residents from various professional sectors got training to help take the territory to the next level in terms of sustainability.

Green VI, through a grant from UNESCO, got the territory a crash course in The Natural Step, an environmental training programme started in Sweden.

Students first took a webinar, and this week they got together at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College with Natural Step instructors Karen Miller and John Purkis.

The three-day intensive course started with going over some of the principles of sustainability, but by the third day, participants were planning how get their friends and neighbours to join the cause of greening the VI.
