Police are criss-crossing the territory by land and sea this week, discussing matters of concern with community members on Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Anegada.

They held a meeting Wednesday at the Church of God of Holiness in North Sound, Virgin Gorda, and another at the Church of God of Prophecy in Hope Hill, Tortola, Thursday.

“It’s important that we’re visible as a policing service in these communities,” Deputy Police Commissioner David Morris said at Thursday’s meeting.

A meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at the Emile Dunlop Community Centre on Anegada, and the police and the East End/Long Look Consultative Group will hold a meeting at the Sticket at 7 p.m. on Monday to discuss the recent murder arrests and the fatal scooter accident on Beef Island.
