A New York woman was arrested on April 27 after allegedly being found with about two kilograms of cocaine at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport.

Marian Walters, 34, a Jamaica-born United States citizen who resides in New York, was charged with unlawful possession of cocaine, unlawful importation of cocaine and unlawful possession of cocaine with intent to supply, said Police Information Officer Diane Drayton. Ms. Walters appeared in Magistrates’ Court Monday, Ms. Drayton said.

The cocaine was allegedly found in a hidden compartment sewn into Ms. Walters’ luggage, after she arrived on a LIAT flight from St. Lucia at about 10:30 a.m., Customs Comptroller Wade Smith said.
