A lone gunman entered Capriccio di Mare restaurant on Waterfront Drive on Tuesday evening
and assaulted an employee before leaving with cash, a bag and personal documents belonging to
the employee, police said.

The employee sustained multiple injuries and was treated at Peebles Hospital, according to the
Police Information Office, which did not disclose how much money was taken.

Police are urging members of the public with any information pertaining to the incident to call
the three-digit access number 311 or the Intelligence Unit directly at 368-9339.

They also said a reward is being offered for the return of the personal items, but they did not say
how much.
