Police are investigating a “serious breach of security at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport” after arresting a 52-year-old United States man there on Tuesday for possession of a loaded gun, Police Information Officer Akia Thomas stated yesterday.
“Initial enquiries indicate that the male entered the territory on April 21 in possession of the weapon and was not checked by Immigration or Customs,” Ms. Thomas stated, adding, “Upon trying to depart the territory on April 26, the weapon was found in his possession, and he [was] subsequently arrested by the police stationed at the airport.”
Inquiries are ongoing, Ms. Thomas added.
