You may not have received a formal invitation from the Queen to attend her grandson’s wedding, but you can still join in the celebration by attending the Tortola Toastmasters “Royal Ball” on April 28 at Government House.

Yvonne Thomas, the club’s president, announced the event on Tuesday during a press conference at the Governor’s Office.

During the ball, police officers wearing ceremonial uniforms will form an arch at the entrance of the house. Attendees will have the opportunity to walk through the arch, according to Ms. Thomas.

There also will be a decorated “Royal Chair” on which participants can sit to have their photographs taken in their ballroom outfits, the president explained.

Blue Essence will entertain at the 7 p.m. event, which is to include an auction, she added. Tickets are on sale at the Governor’s Office for $75.
