The Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League continued on Friday in Duffs Bottom.

In the first game, Pure Playaz beat We Dem Boyz, 78-56.

Bodean Samuel led Pure Playaz with 18 points, nine rebounds and five steals, while teammates Dwayne Stout and Gerard Vanterpool both scored 12 points in the win.

The leading scorer for We Dem Boyz was Requan Fahie with 18 points. He also grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.

In the second game, Momentum edged out Nex, 84-82.

Shamarr George was the top scorer for Momentum with 26 points and 17 rebounds. Shaqulle Fonseca and Nikos Penn each had 13 points in the win.

Lestin Whittshire, of Nex, led all scorers with 28 points, while Shakeem Freeman and Devante Brewley finished the night with 18 points each.

On Saturday, four games were played starting with Swaggas beating Lights Out, 43-36.

The top scorer was Jamax Thomas with 20 points. He also had 17 steals and four assists in the win. Amaclee Glasgow had 14 points.

Lights Out was led by Agron Williams with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Jaleel Smith had 12 points in the loss.

In the second game, the Jr. Bayside Blazers beat the East Cavaliers, 67-26.

Jquan Williams led all scorers with 14 points. He also grabbed four rebounds. Malaki Smith, Zachary Luke and Jillani Leanard each had eights points in the win.

 

The East Cavaliers top performer was Kwabe Joseph with 10 points, five rebounds, eight steals and four assists.

In the third game, the Warrias’ Juan Richard led the way with 23 points as his team toppled Young Empire, 106-62.

Noel McKelly had 20 points and Alton Vanterpool scored 18 points in the win.

Young Empire’s Drexston Guton scored 13 points, while Heshon Charles and Armondo Richards each had 10 points in the loss.

The fourth game featured the Splash Brothers beating the Bayside Blazers, 106-101.

Aubrey Daniel scored 39 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the win. Teammate Jamari Dagou had 21 points in the win.

The Bayside Blazers’ top scorers were Melvin Haynes III with 28 points and Dion Blyden had 27 points in the loss.

On Sunday, the night started with the Jr. Starz beating High Speed, 57-41.

T’Quan Stoutt scored 17 points and Jeionee Bannis had 12 points in the win.

High Speed’s J’Quan Scatliffe had 11 points in the loss.

In the second game, DA3 took the win over We Dem Boyz, 74-68.

Rushaun Johnson had 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win, while teammate Phillip Glasgow finished the night with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He also had six steals and two blocks.

We Dem Boyz was led by Hakeem Penn with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four steals.

In the final game of the weekend, Pure Playaz beat Nex, 92-74.

Jose Balbueuna scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win, while Nex was led by Lestin Wiltshine with 22 points.
