Police have enlisted Bermuda Police Service officers to investigate the March 21 crash between a police vehicle and a scooter that left scooter rider Keaundre Burke dead, Police Information Officer Diane Drayton stated last Thursday.
Ms. Drayton added that she is “not allowed to say anything else” about the investigation.
At the time of the wreck, police officers “responding to a medical emergency were travelling Pickering Street and the scooter rider was exiting the Botanic Station Road and onto Pickering Street when the collision occurred,” Ms. Drayton stated on March 22.
Mr. Burke was pronounced dead on the scene, and VI police “elected to remain neutral and impartial in this investigation” because of their involvement in the wreck, she added at the time.
