Two officials from the Bermuda Stock Exchange visited the Virgin Islands Tuesday, informing the financial services community about how their exchange operates and why they would like to do more business here.

Greg Wojciechowski, the exchange’s chief executive officer, and James McKirdy, chief compliance officer, made a presentation to a crowd of about 50 at the Treasure Isle Hotel.

Mr. Wojciechowski said the purpose of the visit was to thank VI firms for the business they are already doing with the BSX. The exchange currently lists 69 VI-registered funds and four debt issuances, he said, adding that he believes the two offshore financial centres can do more business together.
