The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service is still investigating the cause of two fires that damaged vessels docked in Baughers Bay on April 4 and 18, according to Chief Fire Officer Zebalon McLean.

Two boats were damaged during the first blaze, and three boats were “damaged beyond repair” during the second incident, Mr. McLean previously stated.

Fire officers responded to the scene of the fires, both of which occurred in the early morning hours, and were able to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
