Oshane Daley, 20, a Jamaican residing in Purcell Estate, is in prison after being charged with three counts of burglary and damaging property in relation to burglaries at Rite Way Food Market in Pasea on July 26 and 18, and at Sunrise Bakery in Purcell Estate on July 6, according to a Thursday police press release.

After appearing in Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, Mr. Daley was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to reappear before the court on Sept. 6, the press release states.

Mr. Daley’s arrest comes after police received a report at 4:35 a.m. on July 18 of an alleged burglary at Rite Way, according to police.

Following this report, police examined the scene of the alleged crime and found that “the rear window leading to the kitchen was observed to be broken and objects inside the store appeared to have been tampered with,” the press release states.

Police added that “anyone with pertinent information about this incident is asked to contact the [police force] at its three-digit access number 311 or the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.”
