Most everyone’s heard that no good deed goes unpunished, but last week three good Samaritans actually received a reward for their contributions to the community.
“Thank you on behalf of all the people in the territory for your dedication,” Mr. Duncan said.
The BVI Badge of Honour is given to community members who have performed notable humanitarian services, outstanding acts of bravery, or other exceptional services for the community.
Deputy Governor Rosalie Adams, the chairperson of the BVI Honours Committee, said she was excited to be part of the celebration.
“This is one of the most pleasing activities of my career,” she said, explaining that she loves to honour those who give their time and service to others.
