Public Service Week 2017 will see four teams, representing selected ministries and departments, battle to be named ultimate champions.

Government employees will participate in a talent show, quiz, basketball competition and community service event — all sponsored by the Deputy Governor’s Office.

The Supersonics, Panthers, Eagles and Warriors will be awarded points for each activity during the week, and the winners will be announced on Monday.

Carolyn Stoutt-Igwe, acting permanent secretary in the Deputy Governor’s Office, said Public Service Week allows staff to be “shown in a different light”.

The week of activities kicked off on Sunday evening with a quiz and talent show at Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall.

Following the quiz, the audience of more than 200 were treated to a host of performances from public service employees.
