Special measures are now in place to accommodate the entry of skilled workers to aid in relief activity, according to government.

Labour Commissioner Janice Rymer, said officers from her department would be stationed at ports to assist in the effort to facilitate entry.

Anyone entering the territory for relief purposes should indicate as much in the section labelled “Purpose of Visit” on their immigration form. Officers will then collect the following information: name of employee; employer name and contact numbers; length of stay; and position.

Extensions will be granted on a case-by-case basis.

For more information, call Ms. Rymer at 468-9329, e-mail jan_rymer@hotmail.com or visit a labour officer.
