At a meeting at the Sticket in Long Look on Monday, police offered updates on their investigations into the March 16 killing of Keri “Honk” Harrigan, which occurred steps away from the meeting site.

Police said his killing is connected to the Jan. 21 MoneyGram robbery.

“We now know that it’s all related to the MoneyGram robbery that took place, where just under $200,000 was stolen,” Deputy Police Commissioner David Morris said Monday. “As a result of that robbery, the money was again stolen by other individuals, which ended up with the shooting of Melbourne Francis and then the eventual murder of Keri Harrigan, all of which are linked and are linked around the MoneyGram.”

Mr. Morris declined to give more information, citing pending court proceedings.
