A man was shot and killed and two others were arrested during a joint operation of Virgin Islands and United States VI authorities early Monday morning, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Marine police and Customs joined “US law enforcement agencies” for the operation in VI waters, according to a press release from VI police.
The operation netted an unspecified quantity of drugs, and VI police arrested two men on suspicion of importation of narcotics.
Investigations are ongoing.
