The BVI National Culinary Team left the territory Tuesday to take part in the annual Taste of the Caribbean Competition, which starts today at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami.

The team is led by head coach Henry Prince, of H. Lavity Stoutt Community College and captain Kenneth Molyneaux of Treasure Isle Hotel. It also includes several other Virgin Islands chefs and bartenders.

In recent months, the team has been honing its skills during practice sessions at HLSCC and pre-competition dinners at hotels and restaurants around the territory, according to a press release from the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association.
