The weather is a result of a tropical wave that is passing over the territory.

Monday afternoon is expected to be partly cloudy with a moderate chance of showers, and a “slight chance” of rain remains into Monday night, according to DDM.

On Sunday morning DDM issued a flash flood warning until 2 p.m., and rains flooded various low-lying areas on Tortola, including the bottom of Joes Hill, parts of Lower Estate, and Johnsons Ghut, among others.

By late Sunday afternoon, however, much of the water had drained away.
