Jamaican reggae artist Diana King will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College’s Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium.

Known to her fans as “Kingsinga,” Ms. King is the voice behind hits such as “Shy Guy” from the movie Bad Boys, and “Say a Little Prayer” from the movie My Best Friend’s Wedding.

She also co-wrote and was featured on the song “Treat Her Like A Lady” from Celine Dion’s “Let’s Talk About Love” album.

Ms. King has faced many obstacles, including a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis a few years ago.

The news triggered a bout of depression, but she eschewed drugs and “literally willed herself to walk and turned to using natural methods,” according to a press release from HLSCC.

Tickets for the concert are $30 each. For more information call 852-7223.
