“Reading is good for you, so read your book every day,” nearly 200 pre-school students chanted as they made their way to the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park from the Festival Village Grounds.

The procession of students in colourful costumes was part of activities held in observance of Early Childhood Education Week.

Pre-schools throughout the territory also organised in-house activities marking the week, which was held under the theme “Literacy Through Literary Arts.”

At the end of the parade, groups of students performed skits, nursery rhymes and songs on a stage set up in the park.

The week comes to an end on Saturday with a church service at the Carrot Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church at 9 a.m.
