A game show, workshops and sports are among the activities scheduled during this Education Week.

The week kicked off on Sunday under the theme “Education Connect: Home, School and Community.”

A parenting workshop, “Building Relationships with Schools,” is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall, according to Government Information Services.

Tomorrow, two days of inter-primary school sports will start at the A.O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, followed by a “Family Ties” game show at 7 p.m. at the hall.

On Friday at the same location, there will be an exhibition from various early childhood centres from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Throughout the week, teachers will make guest appearances on ZBVI’s Morning Devotion Programme.

The public is encouraged to participate in all of the activities.

“Education is everyone’s business, and it is critical that we work in one accord for the benefit of all our children and the continued development of our academic institutions,” said Beverlie Brathwaite, acting deputy chief education officer.
