A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the Zion Hill area around 5:40 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.
The accident was a hit-and-run, according to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton. “She is in critical condition,” Ms. Drayton said.
The victim has been identified as Asiyah Mahoney and has since been flown abroad to Miami for treatment.
According to Ms. Drayton, the driver has also been identified and the matter is under investigation.
