Enough is enough in Road Town, said Fourth District candidate Collin Scatliffe during his campaign launch Monday afternoon in Long Bush.

“Many might ask what is driving me to seek election now. The answer is very simple. I can no longer stand by and watch District Four backwards slide,” Mr. Scatliffe said. The networking technologist-turned-business-owner said if elected, his top priority will be to repair the sewage system.

“If we fix nothing else, we must fix the sewage system,” he said, adding that he has toured the territory with experts, and they have advised him that the real solution to Road Town’s sewage problems is fixing the main pumping station. He said that if elected, he would only support a government that agrees to make the sewage issue a priority.

Mr. Scatliffe also said that while critical issues like the sewage system have been ignored, time and money have been “wasted on frivolous projects.”
