Safety first.

That will be the message at the territory’s observance of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Central Administration Building breezeway.

The ceremony will mark the third observance of the annual event in the Virgin Islands.

This year it is being celebrated under the theme, “Occupational Safety and Health Management System: A Tool for Continual Improvement.”

During Thursday’s ceremony, representatives from various ministries and departments will participate by performing skits, poems, songs and other dramatic presentations on the importance of occupational safety, according to Government Information Services.
