In the final high school graduation ceremony this school year, 27 students graduated from Bregado Flax Educational Centre at the Catholic Community Centre last Thursday in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.

Fifteen of the students finished with honours, including five who are early admission students at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. Twenty-four had grade one passes and three had grade two passes.

The ceremony started on time and lasted a little more than two hours.

BFEC Principal Caryl O’Neal reminded graduates of their goal as citizens and residents of the Virgin Islands.

“You should conduct yourself in ways that bring credit to these Virgin Islands,” Ms. O’Neal said. “It is important that you never feel ashamed to call these islands your home. … To make sure the Virgin Islands can be proud of you, you must seek excellence in what ever you think and do.”
