Police are asking anyone who witnessed the Nov. 15 scooter wreck that killed Glenford Young to come forward with information about his death.

Investigators have learned that Mr. Young likely was with other scooter riders, possibly friends of his, when his collision took place around 1:34 a.m., police stated in a Nov. 25 press release. “Investigations led officers to … Lee Road, where the accident occurred,” police said, adding, “No one was at the scene and there was no indication of what had caused the accident.” Immediately after the wreck, Mr. Young, 30, of Tower Road, Virgin Gorda, was rushed to Dr. Orlando Smith Hospital, but resuscitation attempts proved futile, police stated.

“The family members of Young are hoping for an accurate account of the events which led to his demise,” police stated, adding that anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Augustus Bruce at 369-9386 or Chief Inspector Dariel Robinson at 368-9708.
