Spring Regatta: The BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival is under way, which means parties and other events at Nanny Cay through Sunday evening. The VP Bank Sloop Spring Challenge will be held from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today, and the Mount Gay Welcome Party starts at 5 p.m., with Final Faze taking the stage around 7 p.m.

Friday

Yard sale: The Brewers Bay Senior Citizens Programme will host a yard sale downstairs of Virgin Queen from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

USVI: The United States Virgin Islands is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a US territory. Transfer Day activities are ongoing, and will include a military parade from the Addelita Cancryn Jr. High School on St. Thomas from 2-3:30 p.m. today. A Transfer Day Centennial Ceremony begins at 4 p.m.

Spring Regatta: The Shooting Stars Steel Drum Band plays from 4-6 p.m. at the Regatta Village at Nanny Cay. They will be followed by DJ Lora until midnight.

Happy hour: Le Petite Sports Lounge has happy hour daily from 5-7 p.m. There will be specials on drinks and free chicken wings. Call 346-6945.

Walk: The Saturday Morning Walkers will meet at 5:15 a.m. at One Mart, then walk through Road Town to McNamara before returning via the Paul Wattley Road and Joes Hill. More details on their routes are posted on the Facebook page “We Walk.”

Breakfast: The BVI Red Cross will host a breakfast sale at the Sir Olva Georges Plaza from 6 a.m. Call 494-6349.

Market: The East End/Long Look Senior Citizens Programme will host a Market Day at the EE/LL Community Centre from 6 a.m. Breakfast will be on sale. Call 468-3650.

Carwash: Mentoring Anointed Leaders Everywhere (MALE) will host a carwash and bake sale at the RNR Carwash next to Scotiabank from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Spring Regatta: The Bastanaak Swimwear Show will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Regatta Village at Nanny Cay. Music by The Elmtones will follow until midnight.

Pageant: The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force will host the Miss Regional Police Pageant from 7:30 p.m. at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall. There will be contestants from the VI, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda.

Sunday

Brunch: Myett’s Garden & Grill in Cane Garden Bay hosts brunch every Sunday from 10 a.m. Call 495-9649.

Horse race: The BVI Horse Owners Association will host a horse race at the Ellis Thomas Downs from 1 p.m. Tickets cost $10.

Spring Regatta: The Firebird Dancers and moko jumbies will perform from around 4 p.m. at the Regatta Village at Nanny Cay. After an awards ceremony, Chef Al & the Hot Sauce Band will take the stage at around 8 p.m. and play to midnight.

Monday

Music: Michael “Beans” Gardner performs at Leverick Bay each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. There will be specials on drinks.
