Sports: The BVI Cricket Association’s Corporate Cricket League starts today at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds from 6:30 p.m. The first game will be between the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and Maples/KPMG. Admission is free.

Health fair: The Virgin Islands Cancer Society will host a free cancer screening session from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at FirstCaribbean International Bank.

Concert: The Church of God of Holiness will host an Eastern Caribbean Youth Showcase today and tomorrow at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium from 7 p.m. each night. There will be drama, songs and dance. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Challenge: The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service will host an Iron Man Endurance Competition at the Road Town Fire Station from 7 p.m. today as part of Fire Safety Awareness Week.

Culture: The Birton Lettsome House of Blessings will host A Night of Fun and Laughter at the East End Community Centre from 7:30 p.m. There will be performances by Limping Jack, Zion Sounds, Jennie Wheatley and others.  Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Happy hour:  Deejays Turbo and Kuga will be behind the turntable at Village Cay Marina’s Elite Friday event from 4-8 p.m. There will be specials on pizzas and beers.

Quiz night: It’s Quiz Night at The Tamarind Club in Josiahs Bay from 7 p.m. Call 495-2477.

Saturday

Walk: The Saturday Morning Walkers will meet at 5:15 a.m. More details about their walks are posted on the Facebook page “We Walk.”

Walk: The VI Fire and Rescue Service will host a walkathon from the Road Town Fire Station to the New Life Baptist Church and back from 5:30 a.m. A fun day for children will follow at the fire station from noon.

Run: The HLSCC and Highland Spring College Classic Race Series continue today with a race at HLSCC on Virgin Gorda from 6:30 a.m.

Fun day: Village Cay Marina Hotel and Restaurant will host a Family Empowerment and Fun Day from 10 a.m. There will be face painting, giveaways and other activities. Call 494-2771.

Walk: As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a walk will be held on Virgin Gorda in remembrance of Zabrina O’Neal, who lost her life to domestic violence in 1999. The walk begins at 6 p.m. from the HLSCC parking lot to Bregado Flax Educational Centre and back.

Inspiration: The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports will host the “One Night Only” sports inspiration event for athletes at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall from 7 p.m.

Dance: Tortola Dance Project will perform “Hollywood Classics” at Myett’s Garden and Grill in Cane Garden Bay. There will be two performances: one at 7 p.m. and another at 8 p.m.

Music: The HLSCC Stingray Singers perform live at every Saturday at Harbour View Marina from 7 p.m. Call 496-0165.

Church: The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Belle Vue will host a session titled “The Time is at Hand” from 9 p.m. There will be food and drinks and more.

Sunday

Fun day: The VI Fire and Rescue Service will host a Beach Fun Day at Long Bay Beach on Beef Island from noon.

Karaoke: Aromas Cigar & Martini Bar at the Tortola Pier Park will host karaoke from 6 p.m. There will be specials on beers all night and gift certificates for outstanding singers.

Party: Deejays Kuga and Krusha will be behind the turntable at Paradise Club Lounge Restaurant and Bar’s High Tide Party from 7 p.m. There will be specials on drinks all night.
