USVI: The Humane Society of St. Thomas is hosting a 5k walk/run starting at Yacht Haven Grande in Charlotte Amalie. The event will raise funds for the United States Virgin Islands Make a Wish Foundation. Registration is at 7 a.m. and the walk begins at 8 a.m. Call 340-513-8213.

Motivation: First District Representative Andrew Fahie is hosting a back-to-school motivation session at 3 p.m. at the Abraham Leonard Community Centre in Carrot Bay.
