On Friday, Ashley Kelly took second overall in the 400 metres with a time of 53.01 seconds at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts. Her time was also good enough to take down Chantel Malone’s five-year-old mark of 53.23.”

Ms. Kelly also qualified for the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, Oregon on March 17-20.  It is the first time that two VI athletes have qualified for the indoor championships at the same time. She will join Tahesia

Ms. Harrigan-Scott has consistently ran 7.28 seconds or better every year since 2002, when she won the NCAA Indoor Championships silver for the University of Minnesota with a time of 7.22.”
