Zubida O’Neal, 18, of Pockwood Pond, and Jaime Simmonds, 21, of Lower Estate were arrested Saturday and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug to another, police said.
“They were found with the drugs in their possession at the prison,” Police Information Officer Diane Drayton said. “They were taking the stuff to a prisoner when they were caught.”
Ms. Drayton declined to identify the prisoner.
The two were granted police bail, Ms. Drayton said.
Ms. O’Neal is the daughter of at-large representative Irene Penn O’Neal and Cabinet Secretary Otto O’Neal.
