On Saturday evening at the Virgin Gorda Catholic Community Centre, residents gathered to watch as five ladies competed for the title of Miss Gorgeous 2011.
The pageant was part of activities planned as a lead-up to the VG Easter Festival.
Chantal Farrington, Vionda Johnson, Jessica Nesbett, Dawn Lennard and Bondelle Isaac competed in four segments. The contestants were judged based on their performances in various segments.
At the end of the competition, Ms. Lennard was crowned Miss Gorgeous. She also won other prizes: Miss Popularity, Miss Photogenic, Best Introduction and Best Talent.
