The family of a Hong Kong billionaire has purchased Rosewood Little Dix Bay and the management company that runs it, company officials said last week.

The real estate investment fund Maritz, Wolff & Co. sold the Virgin Gorda property and four luxury resorts in the United States to the family of Cheng Yu-tung for about $570 million, according to the Bloomberg news service.

The 500-acre Little Dix Bay resort was previously owned by the fund but managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, which operates 19 properties in seven countries. In July the Cheng family’s New World Hospitality purchased the property management company for $229.5 million, according to Bloomberg.

Duncan Hogarth, the managing director of Rosewood Little Dix Bay, said Saturday that it’s business as usual at the resort in spite of the sale. No major changes for guests or staff have been announced, he said.
