Gerelle Williams pleaded guilty on Jan. 20 in Magistrates’ Court to taking two motorbikes from in front of the police station on Virgin Gorda, though he maintained that he only caused criminal damage to one of the vehicles.

After the court addressed an application to amend a complaint based on confusion about which of the bikes was allegedly damaged, Mr. Williams entered a not-guilty plea for causing criminal damage to an all-blue vehicle sometime between Dec. 30 and Jan. 6. However, he pleaded guilty to damaging a black-and-blue bike, as well as the two counts of theft.

The judge said she would consider the sentencing guidelines for the three complaints.

He is scheduled to return for sentencing on Feb. 24.
