Government and the Virgin Islands Transportation Alliance partnered on a project to clean up some of the territory’s lookout spots this month.

Trash was removed and bush cleared at lookout points in Fahie Hill, Joes Hill, Cane Garden Bay, Windy Hill, Carrot Bay, Chalwell Estate and Zion Hill.

VITA members provided the labour, the Ministry of Communications and Works lent a truck for hauling, and the BVI Tourist Board helped get the word out to property owners and neighbours.

VITA President Reese Penn said the event was originally scheduled for three days, but because of the strong response it was completed in a day.
