A man accused of being involved in a rash of burglaries in September appeared in Magistrates’ Court on Feb. 11, pleading not guilty to most of the charges against him.

Three days were set aside in April for Terance Stapleton’s trial, as the man faces 11 different charges that include burglary, criminal damage, and possessing stolen goods.

Crown Counsel O’Neal Simpson read the list of accusations, starting with an incident between Sept. 4 and 7, when the defendant allegedly broke in to Personal Touch Salon and stole $250 in cash.

Other establishments Mr. Stapleton allegedly burgled throughout the month include Said Department Store, Total Elegance, and Nail Perfection.

He also allegedly stole $2,750 worth of jewellery from a boutique.

Mr. Stapleton pleaded not guilty to all the charges except one count of handling stolen goods and one count of burglary, where he allegedly stole two iPads, a cell phone and cell phone equipment, and $180 in cash from Said Department Store.
