Huntums Ghut resident Natraj Frett pleaded not guilty on Tuesday at Magistrates’ Court to common assault and disorderly conduct charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly harassed a woman at a bar in July 2013.

The complainant took the stand during the trial, telling Magistrate Ayanna Baptiste-Dabreo that Mr. Frett said disgusting things to her and continued touching her shoulder even after she told him to stop.

She said she was at a bar in Huntums Ghut celebrating a friend’s birthday when the defendant first approached her.

“He kept saying he was the dominator and would dominate me,” she said. “He said he’d give it to me better than any man ever had.”

The trial was scheduled to continue on July 9.
