George Burrows, of Purcell Estate, was found dead Wednesday night following an alleged shooting by an unknown assailant who fled on foot, according to a police press release Thursday.
After responding to reports of a shooting after 9:30 p.m., police arrived at the scene where George Burrows was found to have suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead, the press release stated.
“Persons with any information related to this incident are asked to contact Detective Inspector Vernon Larocque … on 368-9809 or via the Major Crime Investigation Team on 368-5682,” the press release stated.
Police added that all information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
