Oshane Daley, a 20-year-old Jamaican residing in Purcell Estate, was remanded to prison after being charged with three counts of burglary and damaging property in relation to burglaries at Rite Way Food Market in Pasea on July 26 and 18, and at Sunrise Bakery in Purcell Estate on July 6, according to a July 30 police press release.

During an appearance in Magistrates’ Court, Mr. Daley was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and ordered to return to court on Sept. 6, the press release states.

Mr. Daley’s arrest came after police said they received a report at 4:35 a.m. on July 18 of an alleged burglary at Rite Way.

Following this report, police examined the scene of the alleged crime and found that “the rear window leading to the kitchen was observed to be broken and objects inside the store appeared to have been tampered with,” the press release states.

In the July 30 press release, police added that “anyone with pertinent information about this incident is asked to contact the [police force] at its three-digit access number 311 or the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
