Following investigations into a series of break-ins in the East End area, police have arrested Kurt Rabsatt of Old Plantation and charged him with burglary, they said Saturday.
Mr. Rabsatt appeared before the Magistrates’ Court on Friday, and he was offered bail in the amount of $20,000 subject to curfew conditions, according to the Police Information Office.
If he makes bail, the conditions would require him to remain at home between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. every day, police said.
Anyone who sees Mr. Rabsatt in public during these curfew hours is asked to contact the police immediately by calling 311.
“His arrest forms part of targeted efforts by the Criminal Investigations Department to address the recent increase in burglary-related offences in the district,” police said in a statement.
Police are also asking the public to report any suspicious activity by contacting their Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or by calling the anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477 (TIPS) locally or 284-800-8477 from overseas.
