Three days after a 29-year-old man allegedly escaped police custody on Virgin Gorda on New Year’s Day, police issued a wanted bulletin.
“Jamal Freeman of East End has escaped police custody in handcuffs on [Jan. 1] while at Nurse Iris O’Neal Clinic in Virgin Gorda seeking medical attention,” according to the bulletin, which was issued on the morning of Jan. 4.
The bulletin described Mr. Freeman as a 5-foot-11-inch slim man with dreadlocks, who goes by “Uncle.”
Police did not provide further information.
