A man was robbed of a gold Gucci hand chain, earrings, two rings and two cell phones on Saturday evening while on “The Block” in Belle Vue, according to the Police Information Office.
Police stated that the victim was sitting on a bucket, watching a video on his phone when he was hit in the face and knocked to the ground by someone. He was then assaulted and robbed of his jewellery by more individuals.
One of the assailants reached into his pocket and took two phones, according to officials. He made a report to the police the next day and sustained injuries to his eye, but refused medical attention, according to the PIO.
Police are asking anyone who may have information in relation to this robbery to call 311 or contact the Intelligence Unit directly at 368-9339.
