After responding to a report of “loud bangs” just after midnight on July 5 in the Sea Cows Bay area, police found a male with “what appeared to be a gunshot wound,” they said the next morning.
The man was transported to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital for treatment, police said in a three-sentence statement issued July 5.
“The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided as necessary,” the statement added.
On July 10, Police Information Officer Akia Thomas-Nero said the victim was still hospitalised in stable condition, but police have not provided further information.
