The manslaughter charge against Ludence Turnbull in the 2009 boating death of Kevin Walters was discontinued on March 9 at the request of prosecutors, Mr. Turnbull’s attorney Herbert McKenzie said.

Additional charges of dangerous navigation of a powercraft and endangering persons have been adjourned sine die, Mr. McKenzie added.

Mr. Turnbull was allegedly at the helm of the 21-foot speedboat Red Bull on the early morning of Sept. 13, 2009, when Mr. Walters fell off the boat, which was en route from Virgin Gorda to Tortola.
