Ronald Beard has been appointed to the post of deputy chief planner in the Town and Country Planning Department, according to a release issued last week by the Deputy Governor’s Office.

In the position, Mr. Beard will be responsible for assisting the chief planner with ensuring the orderly and sustainable development of the territory through implementing proper planning procedures. In addition, he’ll assist with information management coordinating, managing development planning and management of the National Geographic Information System.

Mr. Beard, who took up the appointment June 1, has 40 years of experience as a planner.
