The North Sound Clinic in Virgin Gorda sustained extensive damage during the passage of Hurricane Irma in 2017, but it is now repaired, refurbished and back in business with the resumption of clinical services on Monday.

The BVI Health Services Authority, which announced the reopening on Friday, said the facility will start by offering doctor and nurse visits on Mondays and Fridays.

“This change is in line with our continued commitment to meet the needs of our valued patients and expand access to our high-quality healthcare services,” the agency stated in a press release.

Patients requiring a doctor’s consultation can schedule an appointment on Monday or Friday, according to the BVIHSA.

The agency’s Home Visit Programme will also continue as usual for patients who are unable to visit the clinic due to their health conditions, the agency stated.
North Sound residents can arrange home visits by calling 852-7720, 852-6750 or 345-2616.

“Our Home Visit Team is fully equipped to provide a wide range of medical services, ensuring that our patients receive the care they need in the comfort and safety of their own homes,” the authority stated.
