A prisoner was taken to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital on Sunday after a “stabbing incident” at His Majesty’s Prison, police said the next day in a three-sentence statement that provided few details.
Another prisoner was arrested and taken to the Road Town Police Station for questioning, police added.
Though the statement promised to keep the public updated as the “investigation develops,” no charges had been announced and no further information had been provided as of Beacon press time yesterday afternoon.
