Seven federations/associations of the BVI Olympic Committee will celebrate Olympic Day with scheduled events.
The Olympic Day activities started yesterday and will continue through Sunday, including the annual Olympic Day Run.
Olympic Day recognises the 1894 birth of the modern Olympics and is celebrated by each of the 204 National Olympic Committees affiliated to the International Olympic Committee. While the VI has been participating in these activities since 1993, Olympic Day activities were inaugurated by the IOC in 1987.
