Police have concluded the “active search” for Dennis Yuki Enomoto, 75, of Canada, who went missing while snorkeling near Cooper Island on Oct. 25, but officers will keep an eye out for the missing man while on patrols, they stated Tuesday.

Mr. Enomoto was last seen with a group of people in the water near Cooper Island, but he did not return to the boat with the other swimmers, police said.

“A search of the boat, surrounding waters, nearby vessels, and on Cooper Island itself turned up nothing,” police stated.

They added that after expanding searches to include the Sir Francis Drake Channel and many shorelines, they concluded the active search on Sunday.

However, they are asking all mariners to look for the missing snorkeler while on the water.

Mr. Enomoto’s family has been informed and is being kept updated, police added.
