Officers of the Special Investigations Unit arrested three men for illegal entry and seized more than $133,000 during an operation last week at a guest house in the Cane Garden Bay area, according to a Royal Virgin Islands Police Force press release.
Customs and immigration officials assisted police with the search of the guest house, which was occupied by the suspects and where the cash was discovered.
The three, Ruben Nunez, Esteban Acevedo Tapia and Joel Hernandez, all of San Juan, Puerto Rico, were charged with illegal entry.
Police continue to investigate the matter.
